SSDL Team Clinics: Bringing the Expertise, Education & Energy to YOU
While SwimStrong Dryland is rooted in online training, we’re all about showing up for our community — literally. That’s why we offer in-person, high-impact clinics for teams in the SSDL network.
Each 2-day clinic is packed with hands-on education and training, tailored to athletes of all ages. Teams choose 3 key focus areas to customize the clinic to their needs, such as:
Dryland Training & Education
Nutrition Education for Performance
Leadership Training & Team Culture Building
Each day features three 1-hour sessions focused on the selected topics — but we don’t stop with just the athletes. We also host an exclusive parent education session, plus a dedicated coaches education session to align your staff with what we’re teaching and how to implement it at a high level year-round.
These clinics deliver much more than workouts — they build culture, raise standards, and leave a lasting impact.

Dryland Training & Education
At every SSDL Clinic, our dryland sessions focus on multiple aspects of training: Strength, Power, Core, Mobility & Stability, Injury Prevention — each led by one of our elite coaches.
Coach Eric Hudson brings the fire to our dryland sessions. Athletes don’t just get a high-energy workout — they walk away with real knowledge. Eric breaks down proper form, explains the why behind every movement, and shows swimmers exactly how strength training translates to faster, more efficient swimming.
Coach Bryan McPherson leads our Mobility & Stability training, and his sessions are all about unlocking an athlete’s full physical potential. With a focus on body awareness, control, and injury prevention, Bryan gives swimmers practical tools to increase their range of motion and build strength where it matters most. His coaching helps athletes move better, feel better, and swim better.
These sessions aren’t just workouts — they’re a blueprint for long-term performance.
Nutrition Education for Performance
Coach Brittany Miller leads our Nutrition Education Sessions, bringing clarity, simplicity, and real-world application to the often-overwhelming world of sports nutrition.
Brittany has a gift for taking complex concepts and breaking them down into easy-to-understand, actionable strategies that athletes can use right away. From hydration habits and pre-race meals to recovery fueling and daily nutrition, each session is packed with practical tips — all tailored to the team’s needs and guided by discussions with the coaching staff beforehand.
The ultimate goal? To help athletes take ownership of their fueling habits so they can feel and perform at their best, day in and day out.
Leadership Training & Team Culture Building
Our Leadership Training & Team Culture sessions are designed to elevate everything that happens outside the lane lines — from how athletes communicate to how they support one another. This key aspect of every swim team will have a major influence on what happens inside the lane lines as well.
Led by Coach Sean Workman, these dynamic sessions focus on building team cohesion, strengthening identity, improving communication, and fostering a culture of encouragement. Sean delivers high-impact, relatable lessons that athletes can carry with them far beyond the pool — helping them grow as leaders not just on the team, but in life.
Before each clinic, coaches are encouraged to meet with Sean to share insights on their team’s biggest cultural challenges. This allows him to tailor the session with targeted, practical strategies every athlete can use to lead in their own authentic way and positively shape the team environment.
Coaches Education
At SwimStrong Dryland, a clinic isn’t just a one-off event — it’s the spark for lasting growth. Our goal isn’t just to inspire athletes for a weekend, but to help teams build momentum that lasts all season long — and that starts with the coaching staff.
During each clinic, we host a dedicated coaches’ meeting where we break down everything we’re teaching the athletes — from dryland training to nutrition and leadership. More than that, we equip coaches with practical strategies to reinforce those lessons long after we leave.
These meetings also serve as a collaborative space. We’ll dive into the specific areas of your program where you’re looking to grow, offering guidance and best practices in dryland implementation, athlete wellness, and team culture building.
When coaches grow, teams thrive — and that’s what we’re here for.
Parent Education
Behind every great athlete is a great support system — and parents play a huge role in that journey. At SSDL Clinics, we make it a priority to invest in educating and empowering parents just as much as we do athletes and coaches.
In our Parent Meetings, we provide clear, actionable tips on how to be the best swim parent possible — from a sports psychology lens. We highlight common pitfalls to avoid, share key mindset strategies, and offer tools that help parents support their athletes in healthy, constructive ways both in and out of the pool.
We’ll also walk through all the resources available through the SSDL community, and share ways parents can stay involved, stay informed, and build deeper connections with their athlete — without impeding on their journey.
When parents are empowered, athletes are unstoppable.
